what to expect next for 52dozendonuts.

One thing I've tried to embrace throughout my life is having multiple perspectives regarding any information that I am researching. I have read a fair amount of books, articles, blog posts, etc. that have been very interesting, yet it was difficult for me to relate to. In no way does that discredit the information they provided me, it just means that I have different preferences when it comes to that specific topic. Upon creating this blog, I never wanted it to be a place where only one perspective was showcased in terms of what I believe is effective and not effective when beginning/maintaining a fitness journey. I want this to be a place where multiple sources of information can be...

my gym playlist. (limited to 5 albums)

My musical preferences are..well...incredibly diverse. My taste in music ranges from classic rock, to hip/hop, to electronic, to blues. I consistently feel the need to fill every moment of my life with a suitable track for the occasion. I'm currently listening to songs accurately themed around writing this blog post, but let's not get off track. Here is my gym playlist (in no particular order) if i was somehow stranded on a desert island and limited to listening to 5 albums. 1) BLACK SABBATH "Reunion" I feel like this album accurately represents the pure aggression I try to enter every lift..as corny as that sounds. lifting progression.

Starting to incorporate exercises such as squats, deadlifts, lunges, etc. can seem overwhelming when you are just starting in the gym. how I structure MY macros.

Since we have been on the topic of my daily eating habits, I shall now dive deeper into the realm of dieting....my macro split. I am a huge believer in keeping things simple if you want to stay consistent. This also proves true with my diet. There is a fairly small portion of the year dedicated to tweaking my eating habits in order to maximize results. Other than that, it is very much a basic approach to tracking macros. What I Use To Track Macros I first started seriously tracking macros in late 2012/early 2013. I was fairly obsessed with the perfecting my dieting in order to lose access weight. I decided to download the app "Myfitnesspal" in order to keep...

why I choose to eat pizza lately.

I go through phases of favorite foods incredibly often. Once I find a new food that I really enjoy and is readily available, you can pretty much guarantee that I will begin to center my day's worth of eating around it. In this particular case, I was at the local grocery store looking for a bite to eat when a voice came over the intercom announcing the deal of $1 slices after 8pm. I am most certainly not a person who turns down a great deal when presented the opportunity. I made my way to the pizza/sandwich counter and purchased an entire pizza for $5. How I Eat Around Pizza Buying an entire pizza forced me to fit it into...
